Today, I will share some experience about how to choose the suitable lace color.

Lace has two kinds of factor--fabric and color. firstly, let me introduce the lace fabric.

1.  Fabric:

Swiss lace is slightly thinner than French lace due to its holes are larger than French lace. Due to its larger holes, Swiss lace is less durable than French lace. Also Swiss lace is less visible than French lace. If you want a very natural hairline, you can choose Swiss lace.

Swiss lace is finer, and more fragile, than French lace. French lace is slightly thicker and more durable. Usually Swiss lace is used at the front hairline and crown of the lace wigs, and French lace is used for the rest of the lace wigs. This helps increase durability.

2. Color:

Then let me introduce the lace color. As we all know, the lace color has four kinds of color, Dark Brown lace color, medium brown lace color, light brown lace color and transparent lace color.

Be aware that the lace colors are always lighter than we think and transparent color is not totally clear, there is always a tint on the lace. Do not expect a transparent lace color to be as clear as water.

3.  Getting Lace Color to Match your Skin or Scalp?

Some customers want to match the lace color with their scalp complexion not their skin tone. This is because when they part the unit, they want it to appear as their natural scalp color. Most women prefer to get a lace color close to their skin tone, this is the best option if you don't want to experiment with using makeup (concealer) to camouflage the lace, then it's best to select a shade that blends with your skin tone. If you plan to use makeup, then you should select a shade close to, or lighter than, your own.

4.  make up your lace color

Turn the wig inside out and place the wig on your canvas head. Lay her flat and smooth the hair back and out of the way.Using  3 t-pins, pin her down securely in the center of the head and on each side at the ear.

Next grab your face powder compact or foundation and apply some to your dense make up brush. You’re going to be covering up those nasty black dots and make them the same color as your skin tone so that is why you'll use your own personal powder/foundation.

Pack on the powder or foundation onto the lace starting at the perimeter going backwards. Apply it in an up and down ‘stamping’ motion and make sure you really press down as you apply it on the lace so that the foundation goes through the lace to the other side and covers those knots.

Now, here’s the secret… Spray the holding spray directly onto the lace and let it sit for about 10 minutes, then go back and add more compressed powder/foundation. You can do this as many times as you like depending on the level of coverage that you like.

Turn your lace closure, frontal, or full lace wig over the right way and use a damp towel to wipe off any powder or foundation that made it onto the hair with quick smooth strokes and you’re done!
